I always love building a fire when relaxing and reading, and their fireplace instructions were very clear, and the set up was inviting (kindle, starters, etc. ready for us). The outdoor space was great too, several sitting areas (which we didn’t use due to rain, but the outdoor fire pit was calling my name). I would absolutely book this home again, it would be a really charming tradition.

Our children enjoyed visiting the goats every day, playing in the yard and s'mores in the campfire. The veranda is the perfect spot to enjoy your coffee or wind down at the end of the day with a glass of wine. The kitchen was amazing and also very well stocked to cook a meal. As many have noted, we also loved the fancy coffee machine and enjoyed making coffee each morning. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the decor and art were just perfection - so beautiful but welcoming and comfortable which is just the best vibe and what we strive for in our own home. Sometimes AirBnbs can feel a bit sterile with sparse kitchenware and other home necessities, but Stephanie's place had everything we needed without being cluttered. It felt like my own home. Great location for peace and quiet yet you are not far from great shops and restaurants. Love the sun porch and the fire pit. And we also loved seeing the chickens every day, along with the baby goats. Stephanie responds quickly and check in to make sure everything was ok when we got there. This is the second time my friends and I have stayed here, and we are planning on coming again next year.

We mostly went to New Buffalo for restaurants and kayaking, and to the Indiana Dunes for hiking.
The farmhouse was tastefully decorated with upscale amenities (like the coffee maker we decided to purchase when we got home). Mornings were spent reading on the screened in porch, listening to the birds and watching the chickens outside. There’s plenty of seating if you have a larger group, with tables inside and outside for meals.
Stefanie was a wonderful host, her guidebook has great recommendations of things to do in the area and she gave very helpful instructions for the house.
We definitely hope to return sometime as it’s so close to Chicago! Perfect weekend trip.

The beds are comfy with beautiful linens with plush robes are provided. The kitchen is stocked. Lots of coffee making options. They left a basket of farm fresh eggs and a bottle of vino as a welcome gift. Very nice touch. The addition of the porch is beautiful and will be perfect for warmer weather. It’s close proximity to restaurants, beaches, trails, and a couple grocery stores. I’d highly recommend a stay here!

The kitchen armed with all that you could desire and a beautiful fireplace that we enjoyed every evening together.
